I don't know what to do


All I can do is scream


and think that maybe I am in a dream

One of my all time favorite songs is
Going to California by: Led Zeppelin
The lyrics are amazing
"Someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair."
I think it's an amazing beautifully written song.


Better Girl by: Best Coast
Anything by them is real and if you are going through hard times, I feel that the songs can be truly powerful.


Constant Headache by: Joyce Manor
I love listening to anything like them when I need something to block everything out, or when I'm angry it all just goes away.


Feel it all around by: Washed out
It's a great summer song and their songs are so relaxing and mellow.


Money, Power, Glory by Lana Del Rey
I love all her music and I feel like it has a lot of deeper meaning. Her songs make me feel powerful at times and she is my queen so of course I love her.


Pretty Girls Make Graves by: The Smiths
This was the first song I ever heard from them and it is the song that really tied me into them and made me fall in love their music and make me want to listen to more.


Lovesong by: The Cure
Who doesn't love the cure? But really all of their music makes me happy, and this song fills me with hope.


Heart of Gold by: Neil Young

Probably another one of my favorites, it makes me think of things that make me happy, and a life that is whimsical and wonderful.

What music does for me

1. When I listen to music it helps me forget about everything that is going on. It makes me feel happy, and even powerful at moments. When I’m really sad, or angry music helps get rid of all that and it helps me get past everything. I’m not musically talented or anything but I use music as a since of healing, I suppose.

 

1. I think my favorite song is Over the Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin. It speaks truth and it’s just calming to know that everyone goes through life the same way. I love most of their songs because to me they are poetic in a since or they can be super crazy and I love that.
    
2. My music has changed a lot, I like a lot of the same stuff I used to, but it seems like every single person I have met has influenced my music choice to make it better than it was before.
    
3. I like certain types of music because of my parents for sure, they like a lot of classic rock, and that really pulls me to that type of genre. I like certain types of music because of how it can make me feel or think.
    
4. I feel like if my friends and I didn’t have the same music interests we wouldn’t get along, I just think music helps people come together and without it I wouldn’t have much of a connection with anyone.
    
5. Without music the world would be complete chaos and worse than it already is. We would probably be in WW5 right now and I would be hating my life every day.
    
6. Without music my life would be sad and boring. It would be sad because I probably wouldn’t be over any breakups or anything tragic that happened in my life. Also my emotions would be out of control and I wouldn’t feel like anyone felt the same way. My life would be boring because I love going downtown and listening to the bands play. It’s my way of getting out of my house and having a social life. There probably wouldn’t be a lot of cute boys in my life either which would be heartbreaking.
    
7. I don’t like music that degrades women, it really bothers me because that’s what the generation being brought up is going to hear and it’s horrible.
